So much has happened in the meantime! The weeks are flying by, and it feels like we are really counting down. Time for a new state of affairs! โจ
1. We are live … on Instagram!
Yes, our plans are officially out into the world! Our Instagram page @pure_world_explorers has been launched and we immediately welcomed a lot of nice reactions and enthusiastic followers. What makes it extra nice: thanks to our announcement, we now also hear about the fantastic trips our followers, friends and acquaintances have made. Ideal conversation material, and it only makes us dream even more!
2. Major tidying up in the home
We’re still in the process of decluttering, and it’s really starting to take shape. The basement – which until recently was packed to the brim – is finally a lot emptier. We didn’t want to go to flea markets anymore (we just didn’t feel like it), so everything that had to go, went to the Kringwinkel in Vilvoorde. What a relief!
We also have two boxes of stuff on Vinted. Every now and then we sell something, and of course that money disappears directly into our travel savings jar. Nice to collect some extra pennies this way with stuff we don’t use anyway.

3. Our home will be Airbnb-proof!
During the Easter vacations, our entire house will be rented out for 3 x 3 days while we are in our apartment in Spain – exciting! So we’ve been doing some extra work: planting flowers around the terrace, repairing and painting a wall in Noah’s room, fixing a broken fly window … It’s those little jobs that usually linger, but that we’re finally tackling. And honestly? It feels great to leave soon and know that our house is all set!
4. Pure Life & Pure Living continue to grow
For my companies Pure Life Photography & Pure Living Photography, I had launched two job postings, looking for photographers to take over assignments during our trip. To my great surprise, I received super many responses! I had great conversations and already feel that there are people among them to whom I can leave this with confidence. What a reassuring feeling! โจ

5. New ideas during coaching
I also had another inspiring coaching session with An from Unizo. She again gave me tons of insights and enthusiasm to continue building on my online plans during the trip. So the idea is bubbling up to make courses about everything we do now: how to unclutter your house, how to find cheap plane tickets, how to plan a big trip… Small ideas for now, but I feel something great will grow out of this. Stay tuned!
6. Good news from the school
Finally, we also had a conversation at Noah’s school. We would prefer to keep him enrolled, so that he can re-enter the sixth grade after the trip. And what a relief: the principal totally granted us the trip and is going to see how she can help make this possible. So grateful for such a warm school environment. โค๏ธ

And now?
We continue to count down, continue to plan, continue to dream. Soon we’ll also share a bit more about our itinerary, our destination(s), and exactly how we’re doing everything. Do you have any questions or are curious about any aspect? Feel free to let us know! ๐
Thank you so much for all the sweet messages and empathy – we really feel carried in this adventure. See you soon!
