Hi! We are Joke, Bram & Noah, a family from Belgium that has a special plan: starting in the middle of 2025, we will leave Belgium behind for a year to discover the world. After many dreams and plans, we are finally taking the step to spend a year full of traveling, learning, and making memories together. The daily grind increasingly gave way to a desire for adventure and freedom. And as it goes with dreams – they get stronger and stronger until you can’t ignore them anymore.
By the way, adventure is not at all foreign to us: we lived for seven years in Curaçao, a little paradise where we worked, lived and embraced the Caribbean lifestyle. Back in Belgium, we continued to follow our wanderlust and packed our suitcases for trips to destinations all over the world. Now we want to find that sense of freedom again, but for a longer period of time.
Why this trip? Simply because we want more than the fixed rhythm of work, school, and weekends that fly by. We want to experience life in a different way, off the beaten path, and above all: together. We believe that there is so much to discover and that the world is the perfect teacher. For ourselves and for Noah, who just turned 9 and wants to explore the world to the fullest. So he gets a whole year to learn outside the classroom – a kind of “school of life” where we feed his curiosity with everything we encounter along the way. Of course, we’ll take you along on our adventure! Our itinerary will take us mostly to Southeast Asia and Australia, where we can travel around flexibly and affordably. Think of the nature of Bali, the culture of Thailand, the peace and splendor of the Australian coast… we can’t wait to share it all with you. Our site will not only be about this world trip; we also want to share all our tips and discoveries, like our experiences in Curaçao, or tips for Murcia in Spain, where we rent an apartment rental. We hope to inspire you with this site, whether you are planning a year-long adventure, considering a vacation to the Caribbean, or just love to travel.
